The weather is expected to have the greatest impact across coastal and western regions. Gujarat may experience strong winds reaching 50 kilometres per hour, while Maharashtra and Goa could see winds gusting up to 60 kilometres per hour.
In Uttar Pradesh, rainfall activity is expected to remain limited. According to the weather department, isolated parts of eastern Uttar Pradesh may receive light to moderate rain. The IMD has also forecast widespread rainfall accompanied by strong winds, thunderstorms and lightning across several parts of eastern and western Uttar Pradesh.
Bihar is expected to experience mixed weather conditions on September 22, with light to moderate rain possible in some areas. Monsoon rainfall is likely to intensify from September 23. Alerts have been issued for torrential rain, thunderstorms and lightning across several districts of the state on September 24 and 25.
Delhi-NCR is expected to remain mainly clear on Tuesday. According to the weather department, the maximum temperature is likely to remain between 34 and 36 degrees Celsius, while the minimum temperature is expected to stay around 23 to 25 degrees Celsius. Winds during the day may reach speeds of 15 to 18 kilometres per hour.
In Uttarakhand, light to moderate rainfall is likely. The weather department has issued a warning for very heavy rain and lightning across most parts of the state on September 26 and 27.
Rajasthan is expected to remain mainly dry on September 22, with sunshine likely across most areas. Maximum temperatures in Jaipur, Kota and most other districts may remain around 37 degrees Celsius. However, isolated parts of eastern Rajasthan could receive light showers.
Monsoon activity has intensified again across several districts of Madhya Pradesh from September 22. The weather department has issued yellow and orange alerts for heavy rain, lightning and thunderstorms in several areas, including Bhopal, Indore, Jabalpur and Gwalior.
Maharashtra and Goa are likely to receive heavy rain and showers accompanied by thunderstorms on Tuesday. Coastal areas could experience winds reaching 60 kilometres per hour. Gujarat and the Saurashtra-Kutch region are expected to witness strong winds of up to 50 kilometres per hour along with moderate to heavy rainfall.
In eastern and southern India, Jharkhand, West Bengal, Odisha and Chhattisgarh, along with all eight northeastern states, are also expected to receive light to moderate rainfall over the next 24 to 48 hours.
With monsoon activity strengthening across several regions just before its withdrawal, the latest IMD alerts point to continued rainfall, thunderstorms, lightning and strong winds across multiple parts of the country.
